Greatest love

by Amy Jo   Jul 3, 2005

As the wind swept around you
My hair blew into my face
Blinding me not knowing what you knew
My knowledge did you erase

The storm clouds darkened the skies
You began to walk away
Grabbing you I looked deep into your eyes
Begging you not go, and to stay

Wasn't this just a fight we had
We would make up and be normal again
I don't want to be yet again sad
Come on with this we can win

I don't know how to get out the words right
You said them to me, but I just...can't
The words are blinding my only sight
I want to scream, and rant

Yet I want you to comfort me
And let us run far away from this
It begins to pour and hard to see
Grabbing me, we reach in to kiss

The words seeming superfluous
This moment lasts forever
Your kiss is contagious
And I want to leave your side never

You don't know the power you hold over me
I wish you could understand the words I'm not saying
For once I think you've gotten to see
That in this game of love, I'm not really playing

You carry me inside
You start to warm up the fire
Can't imagine the wasted tears I've cried
Finally our greatest love and desire...each other
