Circle of Love

by Gedi   Jul 4, 2005

The light of this day seems to grow dim,
For I know that my heart yearns for you,
But you love him.
And I don’t know what to do.

Its depressing you see,
For he loves her,
But she loves me.
I think we can, all four conquer,
That this evil thing called love
Was not sent down from above.
Its was sent from the fiery pits of hell,
Too put us under its potent spell.
Are we all destined to hurt and be hurt?
If there is an answer, it is not curt.
Why is it that while I’m thinking of your blond hair
You’re thinking of his eyes?
It throws me into an icy pool of despair,
I’ve had enough of your lies!
He’s thinking of her smile,
But her fingers nervously dial.
She’s calling my number to see how I am.
She gives me love I cannot return,
I don’t pick up and she thinks “damn”
My heart hurts and my eyes burn.
I can’t take this life anymore,
You cry on your mother’s arm,
He’s covered in blood on the bathroom floor.
Her father screams in alarm,
Her lifeless form hangs from a rope,
You will never love me,
And no longer can I cope.
I wish you could see
As I slit my wrist,
Her body continues to twist,
Blood spills out of his brain,
But my condolences I am obliged to give,
For you endure the worst pain,
You will continue to live.
