A Bleeding Heart A Bleeding Sky

by ..::.alreadyGoNe..::.   Jul 4, 2005

The sun melts into the water
taking all light with it
the sky red with slaughter
like someone had made a gigantic red slit

across the sky they took their knife
pulling the blue apart
taking away it's life
searching for the sky's heart

i wonder if the world can cry
for it's lost soul
as it will slowly die
turning to darkened coal

night it will forever be
a sinister silence of nothing
to the depths of the sea
and as high as a bird's electric blue wing

carrying as far to the end
where no one will breathe
where they will begin to transcend
down to hell where they will boil and seethe

burning away for all eternity
wishing they could have done well
they are no longer modernity
living in the past with secrets to tell

someday they shall rise again
grasping for loving hands
though they are forever stained with sin
their hearts dark with purple strands

and when hell freezes over
i will still be waiting
a still white clover
never bending and never hating
