Behind bars

by Amber   Jul 5, 2005

Her father is behind bars, but her scars she is able to hide, because they are on the inside. He won't be gone for long but she wants to cry when she hears his songs. He was always her hero although he always thought of himself as a zero. Everyday she feels as if special moments they steal, but that doesn't alter the way she feels. Her smile will not be smug the day she finally gets to give him a hug. Through all this she honestly swears she still cares.
