Great poem and nice topic. It's refreshing to read a poem not about depression and broke love. I loved it. |
i really like this style...with the spacing out and the brackets it helps the readers hear it the way it's supposed to sound in their minds...very nicely done here. |

I just saw the title of this poem in the request forums....and the name of it caught my eye. I've been in Florida since I was 6 and this is now my home. I've thought about leaving but the familiar faces and places are too much to leave behind. It seems like nothing while you're home but when you leave it's a whole different story. You realize what you take for granted when you’re not in front of it. When I was 15 I went back to Texas for 2 weeks and recently went to New York for 4 days...I HATED IT. It was just vacation but being away from home for any amount of time is horrible. I love this piece. It's so well written and you describe home perfectly. I’m sure this will hit HOME for a lot of people. Nice write! 5/5 5/5 |
