A Piece Of Me

When I first approached you
I felt a piece of me satisfied I never knew
It was as if my heart, had never worked
I was uncertain to where it would lead
This feeling, so wonderful and pure
An addiction and it was you I would need

The first time we had it out for each other
And we didn’t talk,
An emptiness came over me like no other
A piece of me, was missing
I prayed and prayed hoping and wishing
Knowing it wouldn't disappear

I pursued you till you were to beat
Not even knowing I was at your feet
Begging for another chance
To prove to you
That what happened I would never do to you

But then the day came
Where the tone in your voice just wasn't the same
You had to talk to me
That’s when I felt it
Loneliness came over me,
And I lost a piece of me

My piece is lost and your not here
Still knowing that, the feeling I felt before
Would never leave
Because no matter how hard I try,
You’ll always be a piece of me.
