Firework Blaze

by simply taylor   Jul 6, 2005

This Firework Blaze,
Leaves me in such a daze.
It leaves me speechless,
I don't know what to say.

As it sparks out the red, white, and blue.
I'm sitting here, wondering
If I could light just one, and make it blaze.

You left me here in such pure daze.
So now it's my turn to show you the red and gold blaze.

So you hand me a match,
pure happiness in my eyes.
I strike the match, and see the orange flame.

I hole it to the firework,
until I see it spark.
I drop the match and firework, running for dear life.

As soon as I turn around, I hear a loud "BOOM"!
Then multicolored sparks,
fly here and there.

My father walks up to me, and puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Well done" is all he says.

That's the one fourth of July I promised to never forget.
