Reaching Out

by Symera   Jul 6, 2005

With one arm outstretched, eyes blurred with tears I\'m reaching out.
Only because I know you\'re here for me without a doubt.
Just take hold of my hand and try to comfort me.
Tell me its all right and set my conscience free.

I know I\'ve done wrong but I know you don\'t care.
Because I\'m reaching out to you and I see ... you\'re not there.

Maybe you don\'t care for me. Not even at all.
Because I\'m reaching out to you and you\'re not grasping my palm.
After you told me you would be here with me I stand alone.
Lord, maybe this is an example of reaping what I\'ve sewn.

I just don\'t see it as my bad, my wrong or my fault.
Why am I turning to you when you\'re the one that\'s caught?

Caught up in your lies deceiving ways and betrayal.
Its all because of you I lay here tearful and all.

So I\'ll just take back my hand uncry my tears and wipe my eyes.
How dare I reach out to someone I\'ve grown to despise?
