Not lonely and not sad.....

Working hands laid to rest,
A loving heart no longer beats
A gentle old man said goodbye,
Leaving loved ones to cry
What to tell the little ones
When they ask where their poppy is
\'Its okay poppy went away for a little while you could say he took a long holiday'.
The they ask why
And all you can do is cry,
His last words meaningful and loving,
Don't cry, its my time,
My life i have lived and i wouldn't change a thing,
I'll see you all once again,
When we meet at the pearly gates,
I love you all.
Not listening to this many tears fall,
He died not lonely and sad,
But with family by his side
Knowing he made a difference in but one life.
