Beautiful Demise

by Tearful Poet   Jul 7, 2005

I sleep with the ghost of you each night
the dream of your departure
brings new sorrow with each awakening

I knew it would come to this...

You were dressed with diamonds
upon our first trist
with each clandestine meeting
I fell further,
never to be whole again
when denied you presence

You, my love
and all the words and fire exchanged
between our four lips
have come to be
my beautiful demise
