London Bombings

by Daniel J   Jul 7, 2005

People from a foreign land,
Where they dwell amongst the sand,
Have walked upon this shore,
And started up a sickly war,
For when the western leaders met,
Against them terrorists were set,
For it was the desire of the west,
At the starving\'s peoples behest,
To rid the world of poverty,
And now comes this attrocity:
The red London busses,
The bomb easily crushes,
Upon the London Tubes,
The bomb had ate it's fuse,
Though many have been killed,
In us fear has not been instilled,
Though many more are injured,
From the fires they've been singéd,
London to this challenge rises -
Do the terrorists not realise,
London draws together more,
Now upon us they've made war?
---------------
On the 7th of July 2005, 3 bombs exploded in the London tube system, and one bomb exploded on a London bus. 150 people have - so far - been said to be seriously injured, and there are an estimated 50 dead. Terrorists are being blamed, but who they are has not yet been ascertained.

This was done whilst the G8 summit was present in the UK, attempting to alleviate poverty in the world.

This poem is dedicated to London, Londoners, and their unfailing spirit.

This is really good, well done, and i feel ya pain. its terrible to come to terms with. i used to live in london bout a year n a half ago, n i love that place so much, i grew up there n lived there all my life. i went through so much there so london obviously means a lot to me, so i was very angry when i heard bout this. the families of the poor people that died for no reason..its just completely pointless! i want to find the sick people that did this n give them a good kick up the arse! hope all everyone u know there are alright xo
