The Cursed of the Twilight Zone

I showed her the way to heaven
I showed her the way to hell
I took her right hand and showed her love
I took her left hand and showed her hate

I showed her the most pious angels
and the most hellish demons
never stopping to regain breath
or to nourish our bodies

we slowly turned to stone
but I still managed to fly
only to find in the end we shall all die
showed into the darkest of dirt

laying in airtight caskets
eyes closed fingers restless
heart stopped blood not flowing
I showed her the way to live

While she was still walking this earth
where the angels sang their sweet songs
and the demons grasped for her
their wispy fingers willing to eat her soul

suck it from her innocent body
I let her climb the ladder
all the way to the top
only to watch her fall

Twirling in the dead sky
her dress billowing around her body
my eyes never leave her
preparing for the hideous thump

There it goes, the sound echoing in the empty valley
then the world goes inky black
as soon as she hits
all the stars blink out

and all living beings take their last breath
then they pass on to no where
and everything explodes to a silent nothing
yet i am still standing

cursed to be left behind forever
realizing my biggest mistake
