Surrounded by a puddle of blood.
With mascara all over her cheeks from tears cried.
The police found her laying upon the floor covered in blood.
There was a note they picked it up.
It started out with "I was always broken inside."
They automatically knew that it was a suicide.
They gave the note to her mom.
Her mom cried as she read the words "you were never here when I needed you."
She felt guilty for all the times she had yelled at the poor little girl.
She said out loud "I never saw any of the signs, I just looked right over them! How could I let you do this to yourself!"
For once she wasn't thinking about herself.
She went to bed that night and cried so loud that her other daughter and her baby son heard.
The other daughter was silently trying to go to sleep but all she could do was cry.
The little boy wasn't old enough to know what was going on.
He didn't know that his sister was forever gone.
The mom couldn't handle it, but she knew she must stay strong for the other two children she had left.
She read back over the note and realized that there was a part she missed.
She could barely make it out, but once she did, she read these words " He hurt me, he abused me, he neglected me. Do you really want your other children to live through this sort of pain? While I was alive I begged of you to get rid of him, I told you he hurt me, but you didn't listen."
Poor poor momma she felt so bad.
She wished she had listened, but it was too late for that.
The next day when she had awoken, she called him on the phone and told him to go to hell and never come around her or her children again.
He thought it was just the suicide making her angry, he tried to come over to comfort her, she let him read the note.
He said "You don't really believe her do you?"
She said "yes! Or else she'd still be here, get out of my house right now, or I swear to God I'll take this to court!"
He ran away never to be seen by her again, but no one knew that he had found a new family to do this to.
Now theres a second girl dead...when will parents learn to listen?
