Child of the Wilderness

by Weeping Wolf   Jul 9, 2005

Dark eyes peered from behind her hood
Eyes so dark yet shining brighter than the sun.
She wore a cloak the color of the midnight sky
The 2 stars on her face took the place of her eyes

Under her dark covering was this small lady
Whose eyes showed the sadness of the world
They were so beautiful that seeing them would make u cry
For they pleaded for love that could never be found

Her hair was as light as the wind
Precious curls framing her face
Her laughter is never heard
For it is too good for anyones ears.
The dark blue dress draped her spirit
While the cloak protected her soul.

She was strong enough to face the darkness
Dark beauty was she who glowed like the moon
She has learned to cope with all her loneliness
She sorrow and misery is what gave her happiness
Alone, alone is this angel too good for earth

She has owned no name or any other possession
except her exiled heart and dark dress and cloak
She was born into emptiness without a home
So she now lives in solitude, child of the wilderness

She had one wish, she had one dream
But it was murdered by her broken heart
Her one love, the one thing she knew
has gone forever to never return

She carries with her now one black rose
As well as a gleaming dagger, unused
But soon it will be bloody with red water
because this lady has lost her radiance and love.

And now with her love slayed
She has no reason to stay
Lonely anymore.

\"Poor child, says the angel
Have u lost the thing most dear to you?\"
Her eyes speak what words will not
As liquid diamonds crawl down her cheeks

She cannot live her life alone
She cannot love her life alone
No matter how much mercy there is
She never could cure her misery
So she does not regret the night
That she picked up the knife

Poor child, lady of darkness
You couldn\'t bear your heart on its own.
Goodbye child of wilderness
At least now you are not alone.
