In ThE cLiCk Of A FiNgEr

In the click of a finger you’re gone
You turned around and left me.
After you said I was the one
I didn’t think things would ever end
I didn’t think it was possible
For some one I truly love and cared for to hurt me the way you did
You touched me in ways no one could
You spoke to me and I actually listened
It’s not like I haven’t been hurt before
dammit
I thought we had it all made
I loved you, your daggy clothes, the way you were always late
The ring and flowers you gave me for Christmas
So after you left I sat and cried
For this boy I loved told me we had it all, but he lied
I still love you and care
But you got someone better then me
Someone that has more meaning in this world
So this stupid poem is the last thing I’ll have to do with you
I’ll rip it up and tear it into shreds
Just like you did with my heart
