Mommy Why Commit Suicide In Front Of Me

by Mark Coates   Jul 9, 2005

Mommy
I woke up last night
And saw you hanging
Outside my bedroom window
I say your lifeless body
Out there in the cold
It was banging against my window
Why'd you do it there
Where I'd wake up and see

Now through the eyes
Of me as a grown-up
I don't understand
How you could leave me behind
I'm sorry for hating you
But I'm sorry I can't forgive you

This is based on some magazine article i read. this is not real. a boy about 12 woke up and found his mother hanging in front of him. it is so sad which is why i wrote this poem

OMG! I feel so sorry for that little boy. I wish I could just hold him tight right now and kiss away his sweet little pain...

That was very nice of you to write a poem attributed to the magazine article. Great job! It's very well expressed. And, I cannot thank you enough for sharing. :o)
