Overwhelming Temptation

I'm truely dying inside
There's not much there
There's so much shit in my life
But I'm sure no one cares

I used to cut, about two weeks ago
I said that I shouldn't
But the pain just wouldn't let go
I know I promised I wouldn't

Nothing is going right
There's no bright side anymore
Temptation is something I should fight
But I just wanted to watch the blood reach the floor

I couldn't take it
Temptation won the war
I knew I wouldn't make it
I didn't want to live anymore

I took the razor, oh so shinny
I was going to stain it with the red
I made so many that were far from tiny
All I wanted was myself dead

Blood dripping and all
There I lay so alone
I was weak but didn't want to fall
It felt so nice finally have peace of my own

I wrote this for people who self mutilate themselves; however, I am not one & I strongly discourage that anyone would relieve stress this way but I wanted to capture emotion & try to put myself in their position and try to understand, perhaps this could inspire someone to do the opposite.
