Her way out

by Bernadette   Jul 10, 2005

You can not cross bridges that you’ve burned,
And you can not take corners that you have turned,
I can not say that I was ever your number one,
But with a few drinks and a broken heart I would say I am more than done.

I am confused about the way my life will end,
Did not you say we would still be friends?
Did not you say you loved me for a little while?
Or was that my crazy mind playing denial.

And as this bullet hits the side of my head,
And my lifeless body is announced dead,
I remember there was only one thing I could ever do,
And that one thing was to love you.
