Sunset

by sam kings   Jul 10, 2005

Skies filled with glorious blues, pinks, reds and gold,
as the sun sets on another day,
a breathtaking view of which you cannot compare,
casting beauty where all things lay.

the sweet melody sung by a choir of birds,
as darkness breaks into light,
no composer can ever compete with the song,
a better symphony he cannot write.

the freshness of a brand new morning,
dew drops shimmer like diamonds on the ground,
the most amazing things in life are simple,
we live with exquisiteness all around.

our world is beautiful you must admit,
but its full of hate and despair,
the ugliest things to inhabit this earth,
are the humans who just don't care.

unnecessary wars are being fought,
men, children, and women are shamelessly killed
our rainforest's are being destructed,
with roads and houses they're being filled.

animals tormented just for fun,
come think of it, people too,
its all too terrible to think about,
but theres nothing that is more true.

terrorist bombs, murdering all within reach,
unmerciful sadists without a heart,
and each and every person in this world,
is somehow, unknowingly, taking part.

pollution threatens to destroy us all,
but behind it the irony lies,
the most spectacular thing prehaps ever witnessed,
is a neuclear sunset gracing our skies

and whilst all this is happening,
whilst humans are being a disgrace,
just remember somewhere in this earth of ours,
a fesh new morning is taking place.
