We were only kids

by Bex   Jul 10, 2005

The sun comes up over the edge of the earth
Fear is in the air so thick you could surf
But it’s still to dark to see
Dark like what I feel inside of me
Where is the switch to turn on my brain
Where’s the warm bright flame
I’m confused about what happen yesterday
Why did you have to go away
We were playing like normal like we do
We were always just the two
The sun was shining bright but the sky was coved in blood
And there I was stood
Maybe it was a dream
But it was so real even my scream
I heard the screams and the muffled cries
The picture of you the blankness in your eyes
I tried to make you better but the blood was every where
All I could do is just be there
Telling you that your going to be alright
Trying to hold on to you so tight
In a matter of seconds you were gone, left me alone
I felt so cold and hard as a stone
Wishing it was me in your place lying there
All every one did was stare
What all this meant how some one can be this cruel
To take your life this isn’t the rules
But I was only a kid but so were you
