I'll Never

by mary T   Jul 11, 2005

Every so often a miracle will occur
Leaving us blind,everything a blur
What will tomorrow bring, what does the future hold
So many moments ahead,So many stories untold
I may be young and wise beyond my years
A heart measured by scars, memories filled with tears
I pray for the day my tattered heart will heal
I pray for the day I will once again feel
My world torn apart by one single soul
Leaving me empty, and no longer whole
What is love, if not only pain
What is love with nothing to gain
They say its better to have love a lost
But those who believe have yet to endure the cost
I know someday I'll find the one to heal the wounds from before
And he'll treat me right it will finally settle the score
You said goodbye, you left me here alone
Your actions you can not condone
But I'll no longer weep, for I've found a greater purpose
I'll be happy again, surrounded in a world of bliss
So good bye to you, I'll slowly reshape my heart
And I'll never let another man tare it apart.

I love how soulful this piece is and how you end it with bringing yourself together with a fresh start to try and forget the past. Lovely and inspiring.

    Warmest regards,
