Lies of Happiness

by Satine   Jul 11, 2005

(It doesn't rhyme like most of my other poems, but read it, its kind of dark and sad..)
--------------------
Flowers bloom in the wild breeze
The tree whisper songs of love
Birds whistle their kindly tunes
And she walks, smiling to herself.

Nothing can get better then this
But deep inside, she has a broken heart
Things of the past haunt her, torment her.

But she ignores it
She tells herself that life is perfect
That she should be happy with what she still has
But she feels greedy for missing the ones she's lost
So long ago.. when she shouldn't have lost them.

But its okay
Because she still has everyone else
She forces that thought into her head
As she smiles to herself.
