Showing how much i care for you can be hard to do,
i never had a chance to find out who you really are,
how you act,
what your childhood was like,
things you like to do for fun,
thinking that you never thought about me and how i was so truly wrong,
all the money you waisted on toys and gifts,
phone calls just to say you loved me and that you cared,
waisted ink on letters that came every once in a while to tell me how you were doing,
hoping that I'd write back wanting to hear from you,
when i got a chance to see you every two years,
all you wanted to do was hold me in your arms, dripping with tears, you'd say you loved me and that you'd never hurt me,
repeating it every so often, so that maybe i could just listen to you and believe that you meant every word,
as you leave, you look at me and say...
