I feel like taking you in my arms and
Telling you that you have been found.
I see a tear in your smile and a frown in your laugh,
And I hear a thousand words when you make no sound.

Sometimes you seem so happy that
I feel like taking you by the hand and
Reminding you to enjoy the feeling.
I see your strength when you see weakness,
And I see gentleness when others misunderstand your meaning.

Where others would intimidate me, you inspire me.
You have helped me to move on with my life
And stopped me from living in the past.
You make me smile when inside I am crying,
And your hugs are a comfort that last.

Your friendship means so much to me.
I don’t know how, but you have broken down barriers
That most others never have.
So thank you, for being who you are,
