You fall to your knees

Your strength has disappeared

The pain in your heart suffocates your senses
Leaving you empty as your soul slowly dies.
You wipe away the tears
That dampens your skin,
The tissue being used again and again.
You feel that to breathe is pointless,
Since your mind cannot forget and it blinds you
Making you fall to your knees because it all seems so hopeless.
It doesn’t make any difference
How many times that you pretend.
You are being held hostage by the shadows
So the light never shines on your face,

Suddenly, death seems like a comforting place.
