Day By Day

by Jessie Mae   Jul 11, 2005

I sit here and wonder
If my world will turn around,
If 10 years from now
I will finally pick myself up off the ground.
From everyone in my life
who pushed me down.
I was just to weak and scared
to face them until now.
My life has always been
yelling and screaming,
fighting and beating.
No one ever knew
I was in the dark alone bleeding.
I got threatened everyday of my life.
If i told anyone, he\'d come back with a knife.
But all that was bull****.
It was just to scare us away,
My mom still tries to pick up all the pieces,
to make our lives better from that day.
Just when you think
Life is just great,
Your own father comes
and does something you just can\'t relate.
He brings his friends in
And lets them treat you like a w****,
While your lying there screaming and yelling,
\"Stop! I don\'t want no more!\"
1 year later
You move in with your mom and you seem alright,
But what people cant see,
is that deep inside, you want to fight.
So what do i do?
and what can i say?
Nothing
Just live your life
day by day.
