In the mirror

She's the girl, who will never have a real home.
Constant changes in her life leave her lost and alone.
She's the girl who chose to give up on life.
Nothing to fill her except all the agony and strife.

She's the friend that everyone has,
Who's grown up, with an unbelievable past.
She's the girl, who you will never notice.
She's the girl that can never look them in the eye.

She's the girl who wanted to die.
She's the girl with nothing left to live for,
but always ends up at the same door.
She's the one that lives in a living hell
growing up in World War Three.

She's the one who no one wants to be.
She is the person, who everyone
looks to for advice and comfort.
Her own feelings hidden, locked up tight behind this porcelain mask to cover.

She's the girl who cries herself to sleep each night.
Never wanting, but always ending up in a fight.
She's the one, who can only battle her fears by running
and forcing back the already dried up tears.

She's the girl, who can never be saved.
She's the one who can barely live her life each day.
She's the one that soon everyone will know.
As the girl who did her best, but in the
end, it would never show.

This was her life
Her living nightmare.
Who tried to fill the void
But would always end up with a new tear.

She's the one who wants to make it better.
She the one who wished
her heart was lighter then a feather.
Be Daddies girl, and Mommies sunshine.
If not forever, just one last time.

This is the girl that I know.
Eyes full of regret and pain always show.
Each time I look into the mirror she stares back at me.
Because I've become everything that I never wanted to be.
