On the road

The clouds are fading
the sun begins to shine

my life is looking better
everything is brightening up

things are looking up
for the first time i can remember

i cant wait to get out
and test my new strength

its like a baby's first step
my first step into happiness

i am on the road to recovery
and I'm speeding up fast

i just wish you were here to see me
you would be so proud

i know i could get you to smile
at the amount of my laughter

but you aren't here
you may never be

this is the sad truth
but sad? i wont be
