Lifeless Puppet

by Arty   Jul 12, 2005

Free the strings bend the shapes
everything pushed in place
bend the truth free your mind
everything left behind
like the pulse of the dead man
time can't stop but life can
everybody loves and everybody hates
thoughts and words begin to separate
everybody tries then everybody dies
the vanes pulse with the rhythm in the clock
the puppet still attached
the strings become tangled
not to be messed with not to be mangled
the lifeless puppet strangled
hanging with no attention
not to mention
immobile with so much tension
no guide no puppeteer
so the puppet is swallowed in fear
the door was shut and the strings never cut
without you I'm just like the puppet
lifeless and only building up stress
unable to let it out since there is no motion
you're my puppeteer
I'm motionless without you here
i know you don't care or understand
but at least lift my head up or move my hand

still lifeless and still immobile
useless to her with no intention
once held close as he sadly knows
can't show what he thinks and feels
and the pain he deals
he can see but he can never touch
the one he wishes for so much
never able to walk away
forced to hang there and watch
them play
the wood is rotting a little more each day
but still he's forced to stay
as he finishes his decay
kill the morning and stop the night
nothing will ever be right
no point in putting up a fight
lost site of the last of the light
good good bye.....
