Slave

by katiefacee   Jul 12, 2005

Lonesome on the pier
waiting for you
where have you gone
what did i do

i wish these memories
could unveil your lies
and show me the truth
behind those eyes

all those nights
i spent alone crying
all those times
i wished i was dying

We thought we were in love
or at least i did
until i found out
those secrets you hid

i cut myself over and over
until my arms tainted red,
stained these eyes that have seen so much,
spilled on to this memory filled bed

nights like those leave me hollow inside
empty and dead like you
nights like those drain the life from these eyes
leaving them tear-filled and blue

so as i look out off this pier
at these rapid white foam waves
i wonder if i were to jumped
would the waves take me as their slave

i wish these waters
would take my soul
and breathe into me
some hideous fool

because im tired of living
this sad story of a life
and tired of crying
from these dry dry eyes

so take from me
this pain filled soul
and set me free
from this tainted world

Some great writing here and flows well to read, deep stuff indeed and the end so perfect.

    "so take from me

    from this tainted world"

    First rare, great art.
