Life is a Test

by Kyrstie   Jul 12, 2005

When a friend looks to you with her tear filled eyes,
And asks you to love her no matter the price,
What do you say as she holds the knife?
Asking if it's right to take her own life?
She draws the knife closer, piercing the skin,
As you watch with eyes of hurt, the pain all within.
What do you say as the blood starts to pour?
Do you stop after she does it, or before?
When she asks you for advice, do you wait till the end?
Knowing any time soon you could lose your closest friend?
When you offer her help, does she always demand,
That you never cared, you just don't understand?
I've been there, I know this is true,
That you can change a near future through and through.
You tell her you love her, you start to cry,
As she slowly puts down the knife.
You tell her you'd be lost without her,
That she has someone who cares for sure.
When a friend is suicidal, The answer is clear,
Stop her before she chooses the fear.
Stop her before she gives into the dark,
Stop her before she cuts the deep mark.
Tell her that life is a test,
God chooses each one of us and hopes we do best.
Before she can take that sharp bullet to the chest,
Encourage her to be one of the first to finish the test!

A verry thought proviking write, I love the message there, what spoke volumes was,

Stop her before she chooses the fear.
Stop her before she gives into the dark,
Stop her before she cuts the deep mark.
