A Better Tomorrow

by leonel calderon   Jul 12, 2005

Inside my mind I get depress and stress.
Too many problems going on and I can't rest.
The soldier beats louder in my chest.
No longer blind these eyes remember the past.
The days being a thug watching my homies get blasted.
Those days were sad as they get bury six feet deep in the caskets.
Nobody understands me, they rather hate than understand.
Rather fight against the truth instead of holding hands.
Damn, why do I gotta have free mind.
I wish I was like you, not caring and staying blind.
I'm having visions of my people shooting me.
But it's okay I'm dying for y'all to be free.
I won't be mad at you, I will forgive.
The ways you treated me when I was alive.
That be the time when I finally get to rest in peace.
And I hope these words bring more soldiers from the streets.
Listen to me.
There is no life for us as G's.
Remember me.
Together - there will be a better tomorrow.
Nothing but peace and love in this brother.
Remember the soldiers living in cells.
And when your life isn't going well.
Don't be afraid to say you need help when ya fell.
cause together we will climb out of the the fire from hell.
And when I die.
Let 'em say he was a good man.
And do it for the next man that came before and after me.
Girls don't worry, one day you will have dry tears.
To love and trust - have no fear.Don't let it bust - happy days will last for years.

Good honest message in this art, covers so many things and so many desparations of the futile game.

    Thanks for sharing
