Memories with my mom

by {Ms. Felicia}   Jul 12, 2005

You remember my first step
The time I threw up on your head
The fuss and fight to take my meds
The quite time when I went to bed

You remember my first word
When I got suspended in second grade
All my toy filled birthdays

You remember the dumpster
Where all my toys found home
When I got the chicken pocks
You had to take me home

My first day of kindergarten
Tears ran down your face
The first time I drove a quad
And forgot the breaks

You remember more than I can
And the time goes so fast
All that precious time spent
I wish longer it could last

The bake sales, carnivals
Laughs and the fights
The shopping till we drop
And the snoring at night

The time I made cheerleading
The time I broke my arm
When I got good grades
And when I crawled through the doggy door

Now that I’m getting older
The times and memories change
Becoming a teenager
What the head ache it brings

Now you teach me how to drive a car
And I know where the breaks are
Meeting my boyfriend
Making sure he treats me right

There isn’t that much time left
Together to spend
Ill be going away to collage
Out of the house by then

Ill miss the shopping sprees
And the arguments
The car driving, bike ridding
And all that time we spent

I wish I could remember
All that you can
But as long as someone has those memories
The only thing I know is
You’ll always be my best friend
