I Try

In the midst of crowds of people.

I am lonely and cold.

In times when I need you the most,

your slightly out of my reach.

So I sit and wonder how to pass the time until I'm with you once more.

And while I wait, I'm distant and cold.

The world has become a crowd of disloyal people.

The goals are money and fame.

Not only am I lonely yet I'm also confused.

If this is a relationship, then where are you?

You said that you can't help it and that you were hurt too many times before.

Yet what can I do to prove to you,

that I'll always be there.

So what if you've made mistakes.

Nobody's perfect, but you have to go on.

You need to be able to lean on someone.

You say your trying and that you'll always be there for me.

I'd like to return the favor and do the same for you, if you'll let me.

Yet all I can do is hope and try.
