Make it through

“God I‘m so confused
I don’t know what to do
Sometimes I wonder
If I’ll be able to make it through

Today, tomorrow, or even the next
Without breaking down
Tears falling from my eyes
Me tumbling to the ground

I try and take it day by day
But I don’t know how much more that I can take
Sometimes it feels like my life
Has just been some huge mistake

I’m depressed about everything
And no longer can I be strong
I’ve been faking for awhile
And it’s been far too long

Since I was able to smile
Since I was able to care
Since I’ve felt
Like anyone was truly there

So please God
Show me the way
Let me wake up
To a better day

Please I beg of you
To open up my eyes
To something better
And make me realize

That life is worth living
Weather it’s good or bad
Weather you’re smiling and happy
Or crying and overwhelmingly sad

Please dear god!
I want to see the light
I know I have it in me
The strength left in me to fight

If I just had a reason
To laugh and be care free
To be content and happy
Just being simply me,”

After I said my prayer
I hoped when I closed my eyes
I’d find the light inside me
And no longer have the urge to cry

But life isn’t like that
And I know that it will take me time
And I know that in the end
I will be just fine
