Rest in Peace

by Weeping Wolf   Jul 13, 2005

Know that there once was a girl out there
Living with all of us in this one world
Who had many troubles and fears
She always wept and cried,
but tried to hide her tears.

She has sorrow’s soul
And sings the sadness
Swims in a pool of tears
Lives in her deadly depression
Misery in her mind and heart
A heart that can never be broken
For it never was once whole
anguish-filled dark blue eyes
With a smile that only says goodbyes

But one day came for her that ended her searching,
Searching for a way out of her pain and madness
She actually laughed for once for what she had found
She found the great cliff, and there she let herself drop
Letting her soul be freed, so all the pain could slip away
She felt for the first time freedom, first time peace
The skyline and her vision disappeared
Watching as she too, fell with all her grace
And as the air slipped from her lungs
She sung her heart out, songs of love

Then a miracle happened she had never expected
Her once torn wings, opened with ecstasy
She no longer fell but could fly high
So she finally soared into the clouds with joy
But before she left our world forever, she went back-

She lay down her human remains on the shore
Of the heavenly beach she had fallen from
Last sunset on the waves, her troubles now in flames
Watching the final gull fly, closing her eyes
Knowing she could go to where she was destined to be

But you will never know she was here
She made sure no one wondered what had happened
because all she ever had on earth was her secrets and sins
All of her, including shadow, had faded after her passing
Into the true heaven she called long lost home
Now she is nothing more than a memory in my mind
But of course, I am happy to finally say to her
All your worries are now gone sweet child,
You may now at long last rest in peace

P.S. see you in heaven =)
