    simply beautiful.

Wonderful imagery. I love the way you used so many descriptive words. great use of your talent.

"Silver coated bullets unable to penetrate this inferno"

I thought this line was excellent. To me it's saying that this black city is so full of all the bad things in life and its so horrible that not even the strongest can survive. great job.

    Take care,
    Renee

I love this! I love all the descriptive words (I just learned a few new words HAHA)...you really painted a picture with this. I'm picturing a horror flick. lol

If I had to choose I'd say these were my favorite lines:
“Purple flowers mourn the funerals of memory
Enervating those which walk among the associates of happiness”
I think those lines back up this entire poem. It's entitled ‘The Black City’ thus this line shows what's not dark will be destroyed...Superb!

    Lovely! So nicely done!! :)

You use imagery to great effect, with the same immaculacy of a painter. You should be proud of such a great work of art.

Can I beat my head against my cold metal desk? (lol, not because of your poem) I have given honest critiscm to so many poems today that I think I'm starting to lose it and when I saw the "big words" in your poem I almost cried.

At least you have a large vocabulary.

This kind of poetry wouldn't appeal to most normal people, considering most "normal" people have an IQ of about 98...

But to the rest of us who have a brain it was pretty well written. Not my most favorite poem on earth but hey, you just have a different style of writing than what I'm used to.

In every one of your poems, you use imagery and their all so full of emotion. Great work. It takes a very talented person to put an image into someones head as they read the poem, and you did that. Amazing job ღ

Unbelievable again, with suhch imagery to press your nose against the screen.

The language is further mean to make my smile grow sinister.
