Legend of the Well

by Saige   Jul 13, 2005

After crossing through the valley of depression
We come to a brightly colored rainbow
In the center of this beautiful sight
Stands a wonderful well filled with wishes
Flowers and fruit grow on its beams,
Wandering ivy covers its weathered walls.
The water it brings is crystal clear with promise
On a rope of request is a small wooden bucket
Small enough to carry the greatest of dreams.

After crossing through the rainbow our minds become alert..
A feeling of warmth and well being surrounds us
Promises bubble to the surface
Filling us with anticipation and delight.
Beautiful birds fill a blue sky and sing praises.
One can not help getting caught up in the spirit.

This well is so old, yet loving, so tender.
Tendered by the hearts of little children worldwide.
This beautiful scene is held in splendor by expectations.
Wondrous expectations of things yet to come.
Yes dreams can became real; for wishes do come true.
This well is fed by tears, tears of joy, of thankfulness.

How many times I have journeyed to this place?
And I am here again, not to ask, but to bathe in its joy.
A joy of knowing someone’s life has been fulfilled on a higher plain.
Happiness rules and its warmth is something I like to bathe in.
A warmth of delight; like nowhere else on earth.

O yes my friends this well does exist.
Yes it is and does; Dreams really do come true.
Believe and eventually you will feel its positive power
A power so strong in will burn through your darkness.
This wishing well, this legend, is somewhere out there.
Step forward, come forth, the well it awaits.
Waiting….Waiting… Yes waiting, just for you.
