The Shadow In Me

Shadow lies above me
In these dark times of mine
No joy nor happiness can I see
For in this darkness no sun can shine.

In this darkness I search day and night
After the mending pieces of my broken heart
But in this darkness there is no light
So I keep falling apart

My tears come out and my eyes go blind
No longer can I see at all
I don’t know where to go and find
The strength for me to stand tall.

I’m in this tunnel, trying to find the end
While I cry out your name in fear
But my voice breaks and cannot send
The message: I love you, my dear.

I’m really hurt and in so much pain
I’m completely tarred up inside
No longer can my happiness and strength regain
‘Cause it all left to hide.

I hope sometime you can come back to me
To help me find the way out of this darkness
To lead me away from my misery
To the sunshine, joy and happiness.
