I've Been Praying

My life's filled with doubt
Tears unwanted yet fall so free
Letdowns and broken promises
Breaks my heart
When i come across a word that makes me happy

Can't look at the world the same
Can't smile with the same sort of grace
Can't wait, but i won't give up the search
Won't give up, as ready as i may be
Till there's a smile on my face

I've been praying
Searching for a light
Praying for that confidence
That will end the tears that i
Cry in the night

I've been praying
And will pray on day by day
There's a guardian angel standing by me
Helps take these fears
away
And move on to the next day

When I've fallen with no place to go
