Fading faster

by Catty   Jul 14, 2005

I feel life slowly slipping through my fingers,
i can't rasp it for its much too thin,
and it seaps right through my hands,
i feel death close upon me,
as if it were breathing down my neck,
i feel cold hands around my heart and it sends chills up and down my spine,
i call out to you but u left me here,
death grabs me and holds me tight,
i try hard to break loose,
but its grasp is much to firm,
then suddenly,
it releases me-free to roam where i choose,
but every now and then i feel it sneak up on me,

Not to sound rude, but this poem was a bit disappointing. It left me wanting more. It seemed unfinished. However, I can sense the spirit you put into the work and I can feel the emotion there. So on that note, you did fairly well. Just work on it a little more and maybe add a few stanzas for better closure.
