Your ghost

Every night I cry over you
Wishing you where still here
Laying alone in bed
Wiping away the tears

But when I start to fall asleep
I sense you there next to me
I hear your voice in whispers
I feel you touch my body

I begin to feel warm
Even secure and safe
As your arms take me
Into your gently embrace

You tell me I can’t open my eyes
Because you won’t be there
So I just rest against your chest
And you gently stroke my hair

It seems I lay there for hours
Though only minutes go by
And once I do finally awake
I feel I no longer need to cry

I look next to me
Staring at where you lay
I whispers don’t leave
My love please stay

But I know we’ll be together again
And at night you’ll come to me
So once again I’ll feel your touch
And listen to you breath

Because out of everything in my life
I’ve always loved you the most
And though you still come to me
It’s only ever your ghost

Something simler to this actually did happen the other night. I just got into bed and was half asleep when I felt the bed go down and someone lie next to me and place there hand on me. I don't know why I didn't jump up and freak, dont ask. But they talked to me, and for someone reason.. I dunno I felt safe... of course there was no one later on when i woke up.. but i knew they where there because i could feel them... I mean properly, not the way you feel things in dreams
