Mask of lies

Behind her smile there lives a frown,
She's surprised from her tears she's not yet drown,
This pain grows stronger as the days go by,
She goes to her room and begins to cry.

It's all too much for her to handle,
Her room is dark all but a candle,
She locks the door and pulls out her blade,
As she looks at the scars that have already been made.

Without hesitation she begins to slice,
For all her pain this is the price,
No turning back the blood's been shed,
She cuts even deeper so she'll soon be dead.

The blood slowly trickles down her arm,
who ever knew she could do so much harm?
She was always quiet and good in school,
So many people were obviously fooled.

No one knew of the problems she faced,
Deep in her soul she kept them cased,
No one could see past her grin,
That deep inside lay so much sin.
