I never thought it would end like this
there was always destruction around
but it was you who kept the balance
stopped me from hitting the ground

but you feel as though you've lost it
the huge place within my heart
how could anyone replace you?
you're pretty, sweet, and smart

I just wish that you could see
I appreciate it when you try
I try to be there and supportive
every time you cry

it's a hard job to do
have a friend under so much pain
but I wouldn't trade it for anything
I may be going a little insane

because you don't see when I try
when you call in the middle of the night

but you don't see all that I do
