People hurt, and people cry,
I sit here, as life passes by.
If I try to block everything out,
Every plea of help turns to a shout.
Many distractions have taken over me,
And it seems like it’s all truly reality.
What happened to the world I’d escape in?
Why did I live instead of letting my life end?
Is it too late to take it all back?
Is it too late to shut down again?
Why can’t you see what I lack?
Why can’t it go away in the end?
Will it just end so I can hide,
Behind my forgotten masque?
