On the Edge

Have you ever been on the edge
To the point you wrote a dear mom and dad letter
Writing it through bitter tears
Having a gun pointed at your head
Writing your last words on paper
You knowing its the end
You also knowing your parents are away or asleep in bed
The have no clue what goes on in your head
They don't know you at all
They have no clue of how much you wish to be dead
They say they care
They say they'll always be there
Yet they don't know anything about you
They have no clue
Yet they say they do
So I set here now writing this out
Something that nobody else knows about
Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I know I can't be what you expect of me.And I'm sorry. I ask you to please forgive me. I just can't be me. At this point, I can't be me. So, please forgive me. Don't be sad. Dad please don't get mad. I love you both.
