Generational Curse
By Shawn Williams

Betrayed today...favorite dress shirt in lip stick stains
Numbers in pockets...worlds crumble in my brain
Insecure do I look better than her...hurt... there’s no trust
Numbers just pop up...cell phone rings my insanity.
I hear you call her darling...soft words fallen on forbidden ear
Tears upon tears can we repair years built on fear?
Pain injected....words hurt like metal.
Names like flames...pot call kettle.
We battle then settle on less than optimum
Live lives secluded pass in the night neon
Strangers making arrangements with legalities
Children grabbing mommas dress infested with sad malady
Sadly they will recreate there own reality
They cant be happy...they’ve only seen tragedy

Think before you stray
