A letter to mom and dad

I love how you say you can’t deal with him anymore
I love how he says you never understand him
Then you both start blowing each other up with full ammo in your guns
You both always have energy to fight
And argue but when it comes to compromise why is it
That that’s when you guys just decide to give up?

Then it comes to you and you want to leave
And then he says how dare you I’ll leave first
Why is it that this is the only thing you both can agree on?

“It’s enough it’s enough” the little girl screams
But instead you tell her that she is being to un-respectful
And both of you then gang up on her

The little boy cries
But you don’t here him do you
Your both are too busy trying to beat each others threats

When will you stop, its being going on for
20 years now, don’t you think
It’s a little to much now?

You’re killing your little girl inside
Your boy has turned away form you
All your children are suffering
Why can’t you both see?
But maybe when you do realize it
It will be far too late for you
