What You Are

by David   Jul 16, 2005

You are the thunder, to the mournful start,
The storm, which brews deep in my heart.

You are the sea, which drowns the pain,
The salty tears, on my cheeks they stain.

You are the sky, to a freely bird.
The song it sings, of pain I heard.

You are the night, which swallows me,
The sweetest of dreams, of love can be.

You are the promise, to a midnight kiss,
The longest of long, of uncharted bliss.

You are the grave, which sleeps so still,
The age of granite, the blood which spill.

You are the hope, to a hopeless life,
The ebbing of pain, of a stricken strife.

You are the love, which guards to the door,
To happiness of love, forever more.
