My Fairytale

by Steffi   Jul 16, 2005

I'm locked away in a tower,
Hidden from the world.
I don't have a fairy godmother,
Or own a magic slipper.
But Ive been placed under a spell
and if you listen I will tell

My fairytale, my fantasy
Where my prince charming
Rescues me.
My once upon a time,
Happily ever after.
Ill tell you my story.
Ill tell you my fairy tale.

I'm not like Cinderella,
When the clock strikes twelve.
And I'm not like Jasmine,
On a magic carpet ride.
I didn't fall in head over heels
With a fearsome beast.
I'm just an ordinary girl,
Living in her own imaginary world.

My fairy tale, my fantasy.
Where my prince charming
Rescues me.
My once upon a time,
Happily ever after.
Ill tell you my story,
Ill tell you my fairy tale.

So here I am, locked up inside.
Waiting for my prince to decide.
When he's going to come
To sweep me off my feet.
Take me away on his gallant steed.
So I can finally end

My fairy tale, my fantasy.
Where my prince charming
Rescues me
My once upon a time,
My happily ever after.
Ill tell you my story,
Ill tell you my fairy tale.

I dont have a glass slipper,
A magic carpet, or enchanted rose.
I wasn't placed under eternal sleep
I don't wish I lived
Up in another world.
I'm just an ordinary girl,
Living in her own imaginary world.
